Laser Drilling

It can divide into two categories: The first type: pulse mode punching, which is achieved by several pulses or even one pulse(The size of the aperture depends on the number of pulses and the size of the spot). The second type: Continuous mode of cutting holes, which is achieved by CW or multiple pulses(The size of the aperture is usually larger but adjustable).

Laser Drilling Process

Laser come out from the laser source and it will pass though the scan head and lens or other optical equipment. As a result, the surface of the material will be irradiated by focused laser beam. Finally the focused laser beam heats the material to vaporization or melting state. Just repeat the previous step until the hole be created.
